Sri Saraswathi Vidyanikathan School

Out in Badabheemgal, you’ll find Sri Saraswathi Vidyanikathan School. We are based in Nizamabad, specifically in the 503307 area. It’s a quiet spot compared to the bigger cities, which is nice for a school. We have a decent-sized building where we run our classes every day. It’s not a brand-new facility, but it’s sturdy and serves our needs. Most of the kids walk here from their homes nearby. We don't have a big bus fleet or anything like that. The teachers are mostly people from the village or the next town over. We focus on the curriculum and making sure the students understand what’s in their textbooks. The school yard is a bit dusty, but the kids don't seem to mind when they’re playing during the lunch break. We keep a small office for the paperwork and some old cupboards for the library books. Life here is pretty slow and follows the same rhythm every week. We open the gates early and close up once the last student has left. Sometimes we have to deal with leaky roofs during the monsoon, but we just fix them and move on. It’s a very local operation. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just a place for learning and community. We’ve been part of Badabheemgal for quite some time now and we know the locals well. Everyone just helps out where they can around here.
