Our company is called Pembi Tribal Farmers Producer Company Limited and we are located in the Pembi area. Our office is at house number 4-75/4/1, which is in the Khanapur region of Adilabad. This is a very specific part of Telangana where the tribal communities have been farming the same land for generations. We are not some big outside firm that just moved in. We are the people who live here and work these fields every single day of the year. The office is just a simple building where we keep our records and meet up to discuss how the season is going. It is a bit far out in Nirmal, but that is where the real work happens. We don't have any polished slogans or advertisements. We just focus on the crops and making sure we can support our families and the village. Farming here can be tough sometimes, but we know the land better than anyone else. Most of the people involved are just neighbors helping each other out. We use our collective strength to buy the supplies we need and sell what we grow for a fair price. It is just a practical way to survive and hopefully do a little bit better each year. When you come to Pembi, you won’t see any corporate signs or big logos. You will just see people out in the fields or at the house working on the books and getting ready for the next harvest season.
