Our shop is tucked away in Ram Gali, over in Vishwas Nagar, right in building number 8/72. We’ve been here in Shahdara for quite a bit. We mostly deal with DVD players and similar electronics. It’s a bit of a niche thing these days, but people still have their old collections and need stuff fixed or replaced. The shop isn't very large, and we have shelves stacked with parts and units we’re working on. It’s usually a bit dusty because of all the components, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time with screwdrivers and soldering irons, trying to get things spinning again. Some days it’s quiet, and other days three people walk in at once with the same problem. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a circuit board. Ram Gali can get pretty crowded during the day, so it's a lively place to work. We aren't trying to be some high-tech showroom. It’s just a practical workshop where we try to be useful. If something can’t be fixed, we’ll tell you straight. Most of our visitors are people from the nearby streets who’ve known us for years. It’s a steady life, just keeping the machines running so people can watch their movies at home. We just keep our heads down and get the repairs finished.
