We have been working out of this shop at No. 9/35 Street No. 02 for more years than I can really count. It started off as a small bench with just a few tools and a soldering iron that barely worked half the time. Now, Ayma Electronics has grown a bit, but the place still feels the same. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the front door squeaks every time someone comes in from the street. We mostly deal with circuit boards and small components that people bring in when their gadgets stop working. It’s a lot of squinting under desk lamps and trying to figure out why a tiny piece of solder cracked. Sometimes the neighborhood kids drop by just to see what we are taking apart today. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. There are just a few stools and a lot of boxes stacked up in the corners. Street No. 02 is usually pretty busy, so we hear the traffic all day while we work. It’s just me and a couple of others here. We keep our own hours mostly, though we try to be here when the sun is up. If the light is on, we are usually inside fixing something or eating lunch over a pile of manuals. It’s a simple way to spend the day, really.
