Yagyashala Foundation

Our office at Yagyashala Foundation is on the first floor of House 231 in Block O, Geeta Enclave. It is right there in Uttam Nagar, a place that is always moving and full of life. The name Yagyashala comes from a traditional place of gathering, and that is sort of the feeling we wanted to have here. It is a space for the community. We have some chairs set up and a small area where we handle all our paperwork and meetings. It’s not a very big operation at all. We just focus on helping out the people who live nearby. Geeta Enclave has a lot of families, and you get to know everyone’s face after a while. We aren't some big corporation with branches in every city. We are just here in this one building. Sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow when we are carrying things up, but we make it work somehow. Most of the time, we are just sitting here talking to folks about their daily struggles or seeing how we can help with local issues. It feels like a very human way to run a foundation. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just open the doors in the morning, make some tea, and see who needs a hand that day. It is a quiet kind of work, but it keeps us busy and connected to the people around us.
