Jan Seva Ashram

Jan Seva Ashram is based at 65-e Munirka. It’s a simple place in a busy part of Delhi. We’ve been here for a good while, and most of the neighbors know us by now. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just our door. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and chairs where we sit and work through the daily stuff. We try to help out people who come to us from the surrounding streets. It’s not a big operation. We’re just a few people who decided to set up here and do some good. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when there are a lot of visitors, but we make it work. The office is a bit messy with papers, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We don’t bother with fancy language or trying to sound like a big corporation. We’re just local folks working in Munirka. It feels right to be here where people can actually reach us easily. We spend our time listening and trying to find solutions for the problems people bring to our doorstep. It’s practical work. We don’t have much in the way of funding, so we use what we have wisely. Life moves fast in this neighborhood, but we try to keep a steady pace and help whoever walks in. It’s just how we do things here.
