Okhla Industrial Estate Phase I is a pretty loud and dusty place during the workday. We are located at B-86. If you drive past the main gate, you have to go a bit further down the side lane to find our particular building. It is a plain greyish structure with a lot of big trucks moving in and out nearby all the time. Victor Component Systems Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this floor for many years. The walls inside could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually way too busy to worry about the decor or the colors. There are rows of workstations and a lot of storage space in the back for various items. The noise from the other factories and workshops in Phase I is always there in the background, but you get used to it after a week or two of working here. We take our lunch breaks together mostly in the small breakroom. Sometimes we order food from the local dhabas right outside the estate gate. The traffic getting into Okhla in the morning can be a real headache, so most of us try to get in early before the roads get totally jammed up. It is a very industrial vibe here, nothing like the shiny glass offices you see in the newer parts of the city. It’s just a place where things get done. We have a lot of old files stacked up near the entrance because we haven't cleared them. It feels like a real workspace.
