Aml Electronics is tucked into the Chawla Complex at Vikasmarg, over in Shakarpur. It’s unit A-215. If you know the area, you know how hectic Vikasmarg can get. There’s constant noise from the metro and the cars, but inside the complex, it’s a bit more manageable. We’ve got stacks of components, wires, and boxes everywhere you look. It’s an electronics place, so it’s never going to be perfectly tidy. There’s usually a smell of solder in the air and a few radios or gadgets being tested at the same time. We spend our hours fixing things or helping people find the right part for their projects. It’s a lot of fine work, squinting at circuit boards and tiny screws. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. We know our regulars by name, mostly people who live nearby or other shop owners in the complex. Sometimes we sit out front for a bit to grab a quick snack from the street vendors. It’s a decent way to make a living. We don't use fancy jargon; we just tell people what’s wrong with their gear and try to get it working again. It’s been our routine for years now, and the shop feels like a second home to most of us. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The lights flicker sometimes, but we know which switch to wiggle to fix it.
