Varitra Foundation

Varitra Foundation is based out of Ganga Apartment in Alakhnanda. We are at number 49. It’s a residential area in Central Delhi, so it’s pretty well-connected. Living and working in the same vicinity makes things easier for us. The apartment isn't huge, but it serves as our headquarters. We’ve turned the main room into an office space with a few computers and a printer that occasionally jams. It’s a very domestic setting. You might hear a pressure cooker whistling from a neighbor's kitchen while we are on a call. That’s just the reality of working from an apartment complex. We aren't a corporate giant with multiple floors. We are just a small team of dedicated people. Most of our day is spent coordinating projects and talking to folks over the phone. We keep things low-key. There’s no dress code here; we usually just wear whatever is comfortable for the weather. The parking in Alakhnanda can be a bit of a nightmare, so we tell people to take public transport if they can. We’ve been in this spot for some time and have gotten to know the security guards and the local shopkeepers. It feels like a real community. We don’t have a big budget for advertising, so most people find out about us through word of mouth. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily workload as it comes.
