V Sankar Aiyar & Co

Our office is located at B-49 in the Hill View Apartments over in Vasant Vihar. It’s a decent spot, fairly quiet compared to the main roads. V Sankar Aiyar & Co has been around for a bit, and we’ve mostly just stuck to our routine. We deal with all the typical chartered accountant stuff—audits, tax filings, and the rest of the paperwork that comes with running a business. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many files stacked up, but we know where everything is. Mostly. It’s a small team here, so we all know each other’s business. We don't go in for anything fancy or modern. Our furniture has seen better days, but it works for what we need. People come in with their bags of receipts and we try to make sense of them. New Delhi can be overwhelming, but this corner of Vasant Vihar is okay. We spend most of our time staring at screens or talking on the phone to the tax department. There’s always some new regulation to read up on, which takes up a lot of our evenings. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We just keep things moving along as best we can. Sometimes we stay late when the deadlines are close, ordering in food and just getting through the stack of folders on the desk.
