We’re located on the ground floor over in Khirki Extension, right in Malviya Nagar. It’s J 4/82 if you’re looking for the door. New Delhi is always a bit chaotic, and this neighborhood is no different. We’ve got drawings and papers scattered all over the desks because that’s just how we work. It’s a design and associate firm, so we spend most of our time drawing lines and checking building codes. The windows look out onto the street, so we see everyone walking by while we work. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters with a receptionist in a suit. Usually, one of us just looks up from our desk when someone walks in. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we’ve seen the area grow and change around us. The ground floor is nice because it stays a little cooler in the summer, though the Delhi heat still finds a way in. We do a lot of architectural stuff, trying to figure out how to make spaces work better for people. It’s a lot of back and forth, changing things until they look right on the page. We don’t really do the whole "mission statement" thing. We just like to design buildings that stay standing and look decent. If we aren't at our desks, we're probably out at a site checking on how the bricks are being laid. It’s a busy life but it's ours, and we like it.
