Umang Foundation

The office isn't much to look at, just a regular space with some old furniture and a lot of heart. We spend most of our time working on things that affect the local community here. Mohammad Pur is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else, so word travels fast. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. If people know about us, it's usually because we helped their cousin or a neighbor. Being on the second floor gives us a little bit of privacy to work, but we are always open to anyone who walks in. The building is a bit older, like many in this part of Delhi. We do a lot of our work out in the field too, not just sitting behind desks. We think it’s important to be where the people are. It's just a few of us running the show, and we've been doing it this way for a while now. We don't use big words or make huge promises. We just look at what needs to be fixed today and try to handle it. It's honest work and we're glad to be doing it right here in Mohammad Pur. Some days are long, but we just take it one step at a time.
