U-Like Advertising

Our workshop is on Plot Number 7 in Ram Nagar. It’s right on the Main Najafgarh Road. If you are driving along and see Pillar 712, you are basically there. We are just opposite that. Kiran Garden is the general area. At U-Like Advertising, things are usually a bit messy. There is paint and vinyl scraps on the floor most of the time. We spend our days measuring things and trying to get the colors right. It’s a lot of manual work, getting up on ladders or hunching over a table. The noise from the traffic on Najafgarh Road is constant. It’s like a background hum that we don't even notice anymore. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. People just walk right into the work area and find us. Sometimes the smell of ink is quite strong, but you get used to it. We just do the signs and the boards for local shops. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. Most of our tools are old but they still work fine. We take a break for lunch when we can, usually sitting on the plastic crates. It’s just us doing our work in our own way, trying to keep up with the orders. We don't worry much about being polished. We just want to get the lettering right and make sure the boards are sturdy enough to last.
