Together Academy

If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how crowded it gets around Dariba Kalan. Our place, Together Academy, is tucked away in Kucha Bulaki Begum. It is one of those spots where you have to navigate through the narrow lanes and the smells of the market to reach us. We have been here for a bit now, operating out of house 500 B. It is not a shiny new glass building. It is an old part of Delhi where space is tight but things happen. We spend our days teaching and talking to the people who find their way to us. The walk from the main road is always an adventure with the rickshaws and shoppers everywhere. Inside, it is a bit quieter, but you can still hear the city moving outside the windows. We don't do much fancy advertising. Most people know us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. The rooms are basic, just desks and chairs for the students. We keep the doors open when it is not too dusty. It is just a local spot for learning. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we just carry on with the lessons. It feels like home to most of us who work here. You get used to the noise and the pace of the Dariba area after a few weeks. It is just a real place for people who want to study hard.
