About The Print Bazaar – Safety & Security in New Delhi
We are based over at Plot W11 in Okhla Phase 2, right near the Power House. If you know this part of Delhi, you know it’s mostly industrial and can get quite dusty and loud during the day. The Print Bazaar isn't a retail shop with a glass front; it’s more of a workshop where we keep the machines running. I remember when we first moved in, the space felt huge, but now it’s packed with paper rolls and ink drums. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We spend most of our time dealing with technical hitches or making sure the colors match up on a big run. There is always a smell of ink in the air here, which you stop noticing after the first hour. We don’t really do fancy presentations or use corporate jargon. If someone calls, they usually talk to me or one of the guys actually running the press. We have our fair share of long nights when a machine breaks down or an order is late, but that’s the nature of the business. The tea stall around the corner is basically our second office. We just want to do decent work and get paid fairly for it. It’s a gritty, busy environment, but it feels right for what we do. No frills, just a lot of printing happening in a busy part of town.
