Gunja Carft

We are based in the basement at 1408/13 in Kalkaji. You have to head down the stairs to find us. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but it works well for us. The basement keeps the temperature down when it’s hot outside, which we really appreciate. Gunja Carft is a small operation, and we’ve been in this Kalkaji location for several years now. Our workspace is filled with all kinds of materials and tools. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, with scraps and projects everywhere you look. We don't have a fancy showroom or a place for people to sit and wait. It’s just a raw workshop where we spend our hours making things. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media presence. Most of our work comes from people who live or work nearby and just drop in. We like the hands-on nature of what we do. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we run into problems with a design, but we figure it out eventually. We drink a lot of tea and listen to the radio while we work. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. We don't have any big corporate goals or plans to expand. We just like being here in our basement in Kalkaji, doing the work we know how to do. It’s a quiet life, but it suits us just fine. Sometimes we stay late when we're in the middle of something.
