We’re tucked away in Shastri Park, specifically at House H-42 in Gali number 2. The office is registered under W/O Sanjay Gupta at this address, which is basically a home near B S Road and the Bhagat Singh area. It’s not the kind of place you’d find a big sign outside or a receptionist at the front. It’s just a regular door in a regular street. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting around a big table or on the sofa talking about what needs to happen next. We spend a lot of time thinking about people and the different struggles they face. It’s hard work, and often it feels like we’re just scratching the surface. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we use what we have. Most of the furniture is old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. But it doesn't really matter for the work we’re doing. We focus on the local community here in the park. Sometimes neighbors stop by to ask what we’re up to. We try to explain things simply. It’s about people, really. The name Tale of Humankind sounds big, but we’re just a small group in a small house trying to be helpful. There are a lot of papers to sign and phone calls to make. We keep track of everything in handwritten ledgers mostly. It’s a slow process, but we’re used to it by now. We just take things one day at a time here.
