Suresh Ramchandani

If you go down to the basement at A-207 in Defence Colony, that is where you will find us. We are right across from the UCO Bank, which is the easiest landmark to give people. Suresh Ramchandani is who you will find if you walk into the room. Being in a basement means it stays a bit darker than the upper floors, but it is also much quieter. We have a few lamps around to keep the place bright enough to see what we are doing. The stairs going down are a little narrow, so you have to watch your step. We have been in this basement for quite a while now. The air stays relatively cool, which is a relief during the summer months. There is a heavy wooden door that shuts out most of the noise from the street. Inside, the walls are covered with a few old calendars and some notes we have taped up over the months. It is a bit cluttered, to be honest. We have boxes tucked away in the corners and piles of paper on the side tables. It is just how we work. We usually have a small fan running in the corner to keep the air from getting too stale. Most people who come to see us have been coming for years. We know the security guards for the bank across the street and we say hello to them. We keep a small radio on the shelf that plays old songs while we work.
