Sugamya India Foundation

We are located in Sector 11, specifically in the Seema CGHS Apartments at B-101. Dwarka is a big place, but this little corner feels like home. The apartment complex is usually pretty quiet, except when the kids are playing downstairs in the evening. Sugamya India Foundation isn't run like some big corporation in a glass tower. We use one of the main rooms for our meetings and keep all the files stacked up along the wall. It’s a bit crowded, to be honest. My desk is right by the balcony, so I get a decent view of the parking lot. We spend a lot of time talking on the phone or meeting with people who need a bit of guidance. It’s not always easy keeping everything organized when life gets in the way. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up walking the stairs, which isn't great for the knees. We try to keep things simple here. There’s no big sign outside, just our name on the door like everyone else in the building. Most of our neighbors know what we do by now. We drink a lot of chai and try to stay on top of the paperwork that never seems to end. It’s just a small group of us trying to stay useful. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that’s a project for another year when we have more free time.
