Our office is on the 2nd floor of D-230 in Abul Fazal. Jamia Nagar is a lively part of New Delhi, and being here means we are right in the thick of things. Stmicroelectronics is based in this building, and it's a place where we do a lot of technical work. The second floor keeps us a little bit away from the street noise, but you can still hear the vendors and the cars. It is not a shiny office with glass walls. We have brick and mortar and some sturdy shelves for all the electronics we handle. Most of our day is spent at our desks or at the worktables. We don't have a lot of visitors, so the place is mostly set up for our own comfort and efficiency. It gets a bit crowded when we have a big shipment coming in or going out. We just push things aside and make it work. The neighborhood is full of life and there are plenty of places to get a quick lunch. We’ve been at D-230 for a while and it feels like home now. No one here is trying to climb a corporate ladder. We are just local workers doing what we know how to do. The rooms are a bit small, but we have made the most of the space. It is a simple, honest place to work. We just do our bit every day and then head home.
