Srm Institute Of Management And Technology isn’t one of those massive campuses with sprawling lawns. It’s an urban setup, right in the middle of the city's hustle. I spend my days here among the desks and the whiteboards. The building has that old Lucknow character, which means the rooms are a bit high-ceilinged but sometimes the light isn't the best. Students come in and out all day, mostly locals who are trying to pick up some new skills. It’s a lot of talking, explaining, and sometimes just sitting around waiting for the next session to start. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of the folks who come here heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. The street outside is usually full of rickshaws and people heading to work, so it stays pretty loud until evening. We have a small staff room where we drink way too much tea and talk about the curriculum or how the fans need fixing again. It’s a very grounded kind of place. We don’t try to act like we are some huge corporate entity. We just provide a place for people to study and get ahead in life. It’s simple, it’s a bit crowded sometimes, and it’s just how we operate.
