Sr Technician

My workplace, Sr Technician, is located at E5/140 in the Nandnagari area of New Delhi. It’s a crowded part of the city, and the 110093 zip code is always full of life and noise. I’ve been working as a technician in this spot for several years now. The shop itself is quite small, and I have it packed with all kinds of tools and spare parts for various repairs. It’s not a polished business environment. You will see grease stains on the workbench and old components sitting in boxes on the floor. I mostly help the people living nearby with their mechanical or electrical issues. People just drop by when something breaks at home. It’s a very direct way of working. I don’t have a secretary or a formal reception area. You just walk in and tell me what’s wrong. Delhi summers are brutal, so I usually have a noisy desert cooler running in the corner to keep things bearable while I work. I’m not interested in making the place look like a corporate office because that wouldn’t feel right for Nandnagari. It’s an honest, local shop where the focus is on fixing things rather than looking good. I take pride in the fact that I can usually figure out what’s wrong with a machine just by listening to it. It’s a simple life, but it keeps the neighborhood running, and that’s plenty for me.
