You can find Speculum Skills Development Foundation over in Laxmi Nagar, right at F 262/263 on the second floor of Shyam Niwas. Anyone who has spent time in Laxmi Nagar knows how hectic it can get with all the shops and people moving around constantly. Our building, Shyam Niwas, is right in the middle of that energy. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise on the street, but you can still hear the traffic if the windows are open. We work on skill development, which basically means we spend our hours planning out how to help people learn new things they can actually use for work. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we don't mind the exercise. The office itself is quite plain, just the way we like it. We have some tables set up and a few chairs for whenever someone drops by to talk about their training needs. The 110092 area is full of students and workers, so we feel like we are in the right place to be useful. We don't have any flashy posters or expensive furniture. Everything here is functional. We focus on the tasks at hand rather than making the place look like a magazine cover. It gets a bit hot in the summers, but the fans keep us going. It’s a decent place to work and grow, and we just keep at it every day.
