Sociostory Foundation

You can find the Sociostory Foundation up on the 7th floor of the Sansad Vihar Apartments. We are in B-703, which is right in Sector-3 of Dwarka. Being in an apartment complex is a lot different than having a street-side shop because it is much quieter up here. You have to go through the main gate security and then take the lift up to our floor. From our windows, you get a decent view of the other blocks in Dwarka. It is a residential area mostly, so things do not get as hectic as they do in the main city markets. We usually have the kettle going for tea while we look over our notes for the day. The space is not huge, but we made it work with a couple of desks pushed against the walls. Sometimes the lift stops working and we have to walk up, which is a lot of stairs for a 7th-floor office. Most of our day is spent on the phone or typing things out on the old computers we have. It is a steady pace here and we don't rush much. People from the other apartments sometimes pop in just to see what we are up to. New Delhi can be a lot to handle, but this little corner of Sector-3 feels a bit more settled. We do not have any fancy decorations, just the stuff we need to run things. It is a sensible place to spend the day and get things done.
