Our office for Smart School Education Pvt .Ltd. is actually in the basement of E-3/13 in Sector 7, Rohini. It’s not the most glamorous spot, being downstairs and all, but it stays cool in the summer which is a big plus for us. We have our desks set up and there are always stacks of boxes or software kits waiting to be sent out. Rohini is a busy neighborhood and there’s always something going on outside on the street. We can hear the cars and people passing by above us sometimes. We are just a small team working on digital lessons and things for schools. We don't have a big corporate feel at all. Usually, someone is fixated on fixing a bug in the software or we’re talking about how to make a video better. It’s a lot of sitting in front of monitors. We share a few snacks during the afternoon and try to get through the pile of work before the day ends. The lights in the basement have a bit of a flicker, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't pretend to be some giant corporation; we’re just people in Rohini trying to put together good school materials. It gets a bit crowded when we have a big shipment going out, but we manage the space okay. Most people who visit us are surprised at how much we get done from a basement office, but we like the quiet down here.
