Siift Vocational Institute For Women

Down in Narela, specifically at Vijay Nagar U-135, you will find the Siift Vocational Institute For Women. It is a busy little place where a lot is always going on. We focus on teaching practical skills so women in the area can find work or start something of their own. The rooms are usually full of students practicing different things. It might be sewing one day or computer work the next. It is not a fancy campus with big lawns. It is just a building in a neighborhood where people are trying to better themselves. We have some old machines and some newer ones, and we make do with what we have. The instructors are local people who know their stuff and don't mind explaining things twice if someone is struggling. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with everyone talking at once, but it is a good kind of energy. We see a lot of different people coming through these doors, all with their own stories. We just provide the space and the tools for them to learn. It is a simple setup, really. We don't have a lot of extra money for decorations, so the walls are mostly covered with schedules and student work. It is just a place for learning and getting things done. Everyone here is working hard to learn a trade and make a bit of a living for their families.
