Toy Box

Toy Box is located at B-420 in the Bhajanpura Gamri area of Shahdara. It’s a bit of a crowded neighborhood, but we’ve managed to carve out our own little space here. The shop is usually overflowing with boxes and plastic packaging. We don't have one of those fancy displays you see in the big malls. Instead, we have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, filled with whatever we’ve managed to stock up on. It gets a bit dusty because of all the traffic outside in Shahdara, but we try to keep things reasonably clean. We started this because we liked the idea of having a shop in the community. It’s mostly just us working here, unpacking crates and putting things on the shelves. Sometimes we lose track of what’s in the back room because it’s so packed. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city. We are just a local place where parents can find something for their kids without having to travel too far. On the weekends, it gets pretty loud with all the people walking by. We don't have a big marketing plan or a social media person. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes in. It’s a simple way to make a living. We’ve been here at B-420 for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street.
