Selective Karmakar General Store

Down in Mahavir Extension, you’ll find us at IX/6110. The name is Selective Karmakar General Store, but most people just call it the corner shop. It’s a quiet-ish residential area compared to the big markets, but we still stay busy enough. We keep the basics—soaps, snacks, batteries, and the odd stationery items the school kids always forget to buy until the last minute. The shop is small, and the shelves go all the way to the ceiling. I usually need a stool to reach the stuff on the top. It’s mostly just me here, or sometimes one of the family members helps out. We know almost everyone who walks through the door because they live just a few streets away. It’s nice because you get to hear the local gossip while you’re weighing out sugar or counting change. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. The address IX/6110 is just a regular building where we’ve set up shop. Sometimes the delivery guys have a bit of trouble finding us because the lanes in Mahavir Extension can be a bit confusing if you’re new. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many little items, there’s always a bit of clutter. It’s a simple life, opening up every day and making sure the people nearby have what they need for their kitchens without having to walk all the way to the main road.
