Saraswati Vidya Peeth

Our place is right there in Mahendru Enclave, specifically at number 42 on Mandir Marg Part 1. If you walk past the temple, you can't miss us. The street is usually busy with people going to pray, so there is always a lot of activity outside our doors. We started this because there was a need for a spot for the kids in this neighborhood to get their education sorted. The building itself is an older one, but it has a lot of character and the rooms are quite cool even when the sun is beating down outside. Every morning starts with a bit of a rush as everyone arrives. We spend a lot of time organizing books and making sure the registers are updated. It isn't a massive institution with hundreds of staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. You’ll often see us standing outside the gate having a quick chat during the breaks. The walls are painted a simple off-white, though they could probably use a fresh coat soon. We have a small area where we keep the shoes and it gets a bit messy when it rains. Living and working so close to the Mandir means we hear the bells throughout the day, which is actually quite nice. It feels like a very grounded part of the community here in the enclave and we just keep things running.
