Santosh General Store

Santosh General Store is tucked away in Gali no- 3 in the Kapashera Village area, right near the Kapashera Border. It is one of those places where you can find a bit of everything. We have bags of flour, soaps, biscuits, and all the small things people need for their houses. The border area is always moving with people coming in and out of the city. Being in Gali number 3, we get a lot of the local residents who don't want to walk all the way to the big markets. The shop is packed with stuff from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to navigate, but we know where every single item is kept. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you will usually see one of us sitting behind the counter from early morning until late at night. We don't have any fancy cooling systems or bright neon lights. It is just a basic general store for the village. We see kids coming in for candy and mothers looking for spices for dinner. It is a nice way to stay connected to what is happening in the neighborhood. We have been at this spot for years, and while the border area changes, the store stays pretty much the same. We just keep stocking the shelves and greeting the people we have known for years. It’s just how things are in Kapashera.
