Rukh Arts

Rukh Arts is our small spot in Shankar Market, over at Shop No 29. If you know Connaught Place, you know how it gets. This market has its own feel, different from the big shiny shops outside. We have been here for a bit, surrounded by all the other stalls and the smell of tea from the corner. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop sometimes because we have so much stuff packed in. We do art things, and there’s always something being moved or reorganized. The walls are mostly covered with whatever we are working on or selling. Shankar Market is one of those places that feels old and real. We open up every morning, sweep the front, and get ready for whoever walks through the door. It’s usually a mix of regulars and people who got lost looking for something else. We don’t really do big ads or anything. We just sit here at Shop No 29 and do our thing. Sometimes it gets loud with the traffic and the people shouting, but you get used to it after a week or two. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for the right person to come in. The lights aren’t the brightest, and the floor is a bit worn down from all the walking, but it’s our space. We handle everything ourselves, from the cleaning to the sales. It’s just a normal day for us in CP.
