Roop General Store

Our store is located at number 11 in Janpath New Market. It is a tight space, but we manage to fit a lot of things on the shelves. We sell all the basic stuff like soap, snacks, and things people need for their kitchens. Running a general store in a place like Janpath means there is always someone walking in. Some people are just looking around while others come in every single day for their bread or milk. We know most of the regulars by name and usually have a quick chat while we bag their items. The delivery trucks come by early in the morning, so we have to be here to unload the crates and stack the new supplies. Sometimes the boxes pile up in the aisle and we have to move them quickly so people can walk through. It is a bit of a juggle to keep everything organized. The floors get dusty because of all the foot traffic, so we end up sweeping a few times a day. We don't have a big team or a corporate office. It is just us behind the counter handling the cash and making sure we don't run out of the essentials. It can be tiring standing on your feet all day, but it is part of the job. We just try to keep the shelves full and the prices fair for everyone who stops by.
