We are based in a kalkaji dda flat in NEW DELHI. It’s a pretty typical setup for a firm like Rajinder K Gupta &Associates. Being in a flat means the office has a bit of a lived-in feel, which isn't a bad thing. It’s not one of those glass-and-steel buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. We’ve got our desks squeezed in, and there are stacks of files pretty much everywhere you look. Accounting involves so much paper, even with everything going digital these days. We mostly handle local clients from the Kalkaji area and nearby neighborhoods. People just walk in when they have a question about their taxes or some government notice they received. It’s a very informal atmosphere here. We might be drinking tea while we look over your bank statements. It gets a little cramped when a few people visit at the same time, but we make it work. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a bunch of us doing our jobs and trying to help people stay out of trouble with their accounts. Some of the equipment is a bit old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting the work done properly. We know the area well and most of the people who come to us have been doing so for years. It’s just life in the neighborhood.
