Rajeev Ajay Chartered Accountants

We are over on the second floor of E 89 in Amar Colony. It’s right in the middle of Lajpat Nagar, which is always a bit chaotic with the markets and people everywhere. Being chartered accountants, we spend a lot of our time looking at spreadsheets and tax forms on the computer. It’s a lot of numbers and making sure everything lines up correctly for the year. Rajeev and Ajay started this together, and we’ve been in this office for quite a few years now. The space is filled with old files and cabinets, as you might expect from an accounting place. It’s not a fancy New Delhi corporate office with glass walls, just a regular place where we get the work done. Tax season is usually the busiest time for us, and we end up staying quite late most nights during those months. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, but everyone manages fine. We deal with a lot of local businesses around here. They stop by to drop off their receipts or just to talk about their accounts for a bit. We try to keep things relaxed and not too formal. You don't need a suit to come talk to us about your taxes. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the tax laws over the years, and we just keep learning as we go. It’s steady work and we like being part of the community in Lajpat Nagar. It feels good when we help someone sort out their books.
