Prince Public School

We have been operating here in Rohini Sector-24 for a good while now. It’s a brick building that looks like most others on this street. Every morning, the main gate creaks a bit when the guard opens it around seven. Parents are always in a hurry, dropping off their kids before heading to work. The street gets quite jammed with rickshaws and cars, which is a bit of a headache daily. Inside, the classrooms are just rooms with desks and chairs. We don't have fancy stuff, just what the kids need to learn. There is a small playground out back where they play football, but the grass is mostly gone because of all the running. The teachers have their tea in the small staff room during the break. You can hear the chatter of the students through the thin walls most of the afternoon. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, but the ceiling fans do their job. We try to keep the place tidy, though it's hard with so many children around. Most of us live nearby, so we know the families pretty well. It is just a local school doing its thing every day. Nothing too special, just a place for the neighborhood kids to get their schooling done and go home. We see the same faces every day at the gate. It feels like a small community really. Sometimes we have to fix a broken window or a leaky tap, but that is just part of running a school. We just keep at it.
