Pleasant Life Foundation

Our place is at 81 West Arjun Nagar, situated right on Malook Singh Marg in East Delhi. It is a very busy road, so there is a constant hum of traffic and people outside. The building is a standard residential structure that we have adapted for our needs. We have a few rooms that we use for different tasks, though they are all pretty small. The main room has a large table where we spend most of our time. One of the chairs has a bit of a squeak, but no one seems to mind it much. The walls are a bit bare, except for a few schedules we have pinned up to keep track of things. It is not a polished environment, but it feels honest and comfortable for us. We get a good amount of sunlight in the mornings, which makes the office feel a bit larger than it actually is. During the rainy season, we have to be careful about the front door because the water can sometimes pool up on the street outside. We have a small fridge for water and a few snacks to get us through the day. People from the nearby shops often stop by to chat, so it feels like we are really part of the local street life. It is just a simple, practical space.
