Down in Bamnoli, near the post office in Dhoolshirs, is where we spend our days. Pik India is based at this address in New Delhi, and it’s a bit of a trek from the center of town. The 110077 area is mostly industrial and quiet, which suits the kind of work we do. We have a fairly large warehouse space that we’ve filled with various goods over the years. The office part is just a small corner with some windows that look out onto the main gate. We don't have any polished floors or bright lights. It’s mostly concrete and practical shelving. Every morning, we start with a quick check of what arrived overnight. The trucks come in through the narrow lane, and it takes a bit of skill for the drivers to maneuver. We know most of the guys who deliver here by name. Sometimes we have a small lunch together in the back room if things aren't too frantic. There isn't much in the way of decoration, maybe just a few family photos on the desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone dealing with suppliers and checking the inventory lists. When it rains, the roof makes a lot of noise, but it’s a sound we have grown to like. We aren't trying to be anything other than a hardworking local business. We just keep the orders moving and make sure the paperwork is filed away correctly.
