Paigham Welfare Foundation

We are located in Mayur Vihar Phase 3, specifically at 108 H in Pocket A3. It is a residential area, so it feels quite different from the busy markets in other parts of Delhi. The Paigham Welfare Foundation operates out of this space. It is just a regular room where we keep our stuff. We do welfare work, which means a lot of different things depending on the day. Sometimes we are helping someone with a form, and other times we are just planning out things for the neighborhood. It is a quiet office for the most part. We have a small table where we sit and drink chai while we talk about what needs to be done next. The walls are a plain color and we have a calendar that’s usually a month behind. We aren't a big organization with lots of money. We are just local people in New Delhi-110096 trying to be useful. There are trees outside the window and you can hear the kids playing in the pocket during the afternoon. It is a simple life here. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to deal with it. It’s a bit disorganized sometimes, but we manage to stay on top of the important things. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one so people know they've found the right door. It’s a nice place to work.
