Pacific Institute of Distance Education Elearning is situated in Pitampura at 3/115. Pitampura is a lively part of North Delhi, and our office is right in the middle of it. We focus on distance learning, so a lot of what we do involves computers and the internet. The office isn't very large. It’s mostly desks with monitors and a lot of wires running along the floor. We try to keep the wires tucked away, but it’s a constant battle. Since everything is online, we spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking to people on the phone who are trying to finish their courses. The walls are a bit bare, maybe a calendar or two hanging up. It’s not the kind of place where you come for a fancy tour. It is more for people who need to get their education sorted out without going to a physical campus every day. Sometimes the internet connection acts up, and we all have to wait a minute for things to reset, which is just part of life in Delhi. We have some files stored in big metal cabinets that take up most of one wall. It is a quiet place for the most part, except for the tapping of keyboards. We’ve been here at 3/115 for a while now, and it’s a steady, simple operation for anyone looking to learn remotely.
