P K Astir & Co is based at 4/13 Kirti Nagar Industrial Area. Anyone who knows Delhi knows that Kirti Nagar is the place for wood, metal, and making things. Our spot at 4/13 is right in the thick of it. It’s a gritty, hardworking neighborhood where everyone is moving something or building something. We aren’t one of those places with a big, shiny showroom. Our space is more about utility. We have stacks of materials and the sound of saws or hammers is usually coming from somewhere nearby. The dust is just part of the job here; you can’t really avoid it in an industrial area like this. We spend our days dealing with orders and talking to suppliers. It’s not always pretty, and the office can get a bit cluttered with samples and notebooks. We have a small crew and most of us have been here long enough to know the quirks of the building. The tea guy visits every morning and that’s when we usually catch up on what needs to be done. It’s a practical life. We don’t go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We just take the work as it comes and try to do a solid job. Being at 4/13 Kirti Nagar means we are part of a long tradition of people who actually make things. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s exactly where we belong.
