You can find us at Plot No. A-68 in the Whs Timber Market. Kirti Nagar is a place where you hear the sound of saws all day long. New Rattan Singh & Sons has been part of this market for a good bit of time. It’s a family thing, really. My father started out here, and now we are just keeping it going. The warehouse is big and smells like fresh wood all the time. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our afternoons sorting through the stock. It’s heavy work and our clothes usually get pretty dirty by noon. We don't have a marketing team or a shiny website. Most of our days are spent talking to carpenters and people looking for specific types of wood. Sometimes the market gets very crowded and it’s hard to move the trucks around. We just deal with it. We don’t make big promises. If we have the wood you need, we tell you. If we don’t, we might know who does. That’s just how things work in a timber market. We like the smell of the yard and the people we see every day. It’s a basic life, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and handle the timber.
