Wooden Vatika is located on the second floor of the Rajdhani DDA Market. We are at Plot No. 7 and 19 in the Tagore Garden Extension area. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but you get used to it. The market downstairs is always full of people looking for deals. Up here, it’s a bit quieter. We have a lot of stuff stored in the back rooms. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a lot of lamps. Our workspace is mostly filled with the smell of wood and some sawdust that never seems to go away no matter how much we sweep. We have a few windows that look out over the market stalls below. It's interesting to see the shoppers going about their day while we are busy with our own tasks. We don't really have a big sign out front, just a small one by the door. Most people who come here already know what they are looking for. It’s a modest setup. We have a small table where we sit to talk about the work for the day. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish. It’s just a honest place to work and we’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar. We try to keep the noise from our tools low so we don't bother the neighbors too much. The stairs are narrow and it’s a pain.
