We’ve been here at Nehru Place for a while now, up on the fifth floor of Padma Place. It's a busy spot. People are always coming and going from the elevators near the entrance. Most days we spend our time looking at solar panels and figuring out where they need to go on roofs for our clients at Solar World Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. We deal with a lot of paperwork and technical drawings that get spread out over the desks. Our office isn't too big, but it works for the five of us. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but you get used to the noise after a week or two. Our focus is just on getting the solar setups right for whoever calls us up. There is a lot of talk about kilowatts and how much sun a backyard gets. It isn’t fancy work, just steady and honest. Our desks are usually cluttered with files and sometimes the whole place smells like the curry shop downstairs. It feels like a normal, everyday workplace. We’ve watched the seasons change from this window over the years. Some days are slow and others are just a rush of phone calls about battery backups. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the files pile up and the printer runs out of ink. It’s just how it goes when we are busy. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just helping people get their electricity sorted. Our crew is small, and we all know how the coffee machine acts up.
