About Neha Lalwani'S Readings – Safety & Security in New Delhi
I set up this space for my readings in Kalkaji Extension, right behind the police station. It’s at 2/23, and it’s a pretty quiet spot despite being so close to the station. Neha Lalwani’s Readings isn't a big commercial center or a flashy office. It’s just a room where I can sit down with people and go through their charts or cards. I’ve tried to make it comfortable with some cushions and some soft lighting, though the overhead fan still makes a bit of a clicking noise that I can't seem to fix no matter how many times I look at it. People usually find me through word of mouth or by seeing the small sign out front. I spend a lot of my time here, surrounded by my books and my notes. It’s a personal kind of work, so I didn't want a place that felt cold or professional. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing loudly in the alley, but mostly it’s a good place for thinking and talking. I don't have a secretary or anything, so if the phone rings while I'm with someone, it just goes to voicemail and I check it later. It’s a simple setup that allows me to focus on what people are telling me. I’ve lived in this part of Delhi for a long time, so it felt right to start my practice here. It’s just me and the questions people bring.
