Navdeep Trading Company

Navdeep Trading Company is on the 3rd floor of building 128 A in Gautam Nagar. It is a bit of a climb since there is no lift, so by the time we get to the office in the morning, we are already awake. The area around Gautam Nagar is always congested with traffic and small shops, so finding a place to park a scooter can be a real headache. Our space is mostly filled with boxes of goods that we trade back and forth throughout the day. The windows look out over the rooftops of other buildings, and you can see a lot of water tanks and clotheslines. It’s not the quietest place because you can hear the street sounds even from the third floor. We keep a ledger on the main table and there are always notes stuck to the walls so we don't forget things. Most of our day is spent coordinating deliveries and checking the stock we have left. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve grown used to over the months. We keep a small stove for making tea because it’s hard to keep going without a hot drink now and then. This business isn't about looking flashy; it's just about moving items and making sure everyone gets what they need. We don't have a receptionist or anything, just us doing the daily grind and making sure the counts are right.
