We are over here at Plot No. C B-207 on the Ring Road in Naraina. It gets pretty loud with all the trucks passing by all day. Our shop is right near the petrol pump, which is handy for people who realize their lights aren't working right after they fill up. Most days, we are just buried under the hoods of cars, looking at tangled wires and trying to figure out why a battery won't hold a charge. The grease gets everywhere, and my hands are rarely clean. It's a small place, but we have enough room for the tools we need. Sometimes the heat from the road is a bit much in the afternoon, so we take a break for tea when things slow down. People from around Naraina know where to find us. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. There's just some old chairs and a lot of spare parts lying around. We've been at this address for a while now. It's just the work we do, fixing alternators and starters and making sure the horns actually honk. It's not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. We usually start early before the sun gets too high. By the time we close up, we are tired, but that's just part of the routine here on the Ring Road. It is a busy life, but we have been doing it this way for years.
