Narender Karyana Store

My shop is in Sagarpur West, at RZ-36E. It’s called Narender Karyana Store, and it’s been the center of my life for a long time. Every morning I start by moving the big sacks of flour and rice near the front so people can see what we have. It’s a typical neighborhood store. I don’t have fancy glass displays or bright lights. Most of the stuff is just stacked on wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. I use a long stick to reach the items at the top. The street outside can be quite narrow and dusty, but that’s just Sagarpur. People come in for their daily essentials like salt, oil, or tea leaves. I know most of my customers by name, and I know who likes which brand of soap. It’s not a fast-paced business. We take our time. Sometimes I sit and have a cup of chai with one of the regulars while the neighborhood kids play outside. The shop is small and it gets quite warm in the summer, but I’m used to it. I don’t try to compete with the big supermarkets. I just provide what the local families need every day. My ledgers are hand-written and a bit messy, but I know where everything is. It’s just a simple life running a local karyana store. Nothing more, nothing less.
