Down at Plot No. J-7879 on Arakashan Road, you’ll find us at Nanda Sign Art. We are right in the middle of Paharganj, which everyone knows is one of the busiest spots you could pick in the city. Being near the bus stop means there is a constant stream of people walking past our door from early morning until late at night. The shop is filled with various materials, some half-finished boards, and the lingering smell of paint and vinyl. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and checking colors under the shop lights. It gets pretty cramped when we have a big project taking up the floor space. Sometimes the tea seller from around the corner drops by with a tray, and we take a quick break before getting back to the cutters. There is always noise from the street outside—horns honking and people shouting—but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't holding a tool or a brush at that moment. It’s a bit messy, and there’s usually scrap bits of plastic on the floor, but that is just the nature of making things. We’ve stayed in this spot because it is central, even if the traffic is a nightmare most afternoons.
