You can find us at House Number 34 in Churiya Mohalla, which is part of the Madanpur Khadar village area near Sarita Vihar. It is a bit of a different vibe here than in the big commercial centers of South Delhi. Being in a mohalla means everyone knows everyone, and we often see the kids playing in the street while we are working inside. Our office is basically a converted part of the house, so it feels very personal and honest. We don't have any fancy glass displays or a reception desk. Usually, we are just sitting on the floor or at low tables, looking over the precious stones we’ve gathered. It is a quiet life for the most part, except for the occasional motorbike zooming past the front door. We handle all the gems ourselves, making sure they are stored properly and categorized in our old filing system. Madanpur is a place where people value hard work, and we try to stick to that. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or so, and we just sit outside on the steps and chat with the neighbors until it comes back on. It isn’t a high-pressure environment, which is nice because gems shouldn't be rushed anyway. We have our routines, like sweeping the front every morning and making sure the tea pot is always full for anyone who might stop by to talk.
