Mehra Goel & Co.

Our office is tucked away on the 3rd floor of D-11 in Krishna Market. Being in Lajpat Nagar-1 means there is always something going on outside. Mehra Goel & Co. has been here for a good stretch of time. You have to climb some stairs to get to us, which is good exercise, I guess. The market below is always loud and full of people shopping, but it gets a bit quieter once you reach the third floor. Inside, it’s mostly just us and a lot of paper. We have desks piled with ledgers and files that seem to never end. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy art on the walls or leather sofas. We just have what we need to get through the daily tasks. New Delhi summers are tough, but the fans in the office keep us moving. We deal with various bits of accounting work throughout the week. Sometimes the internet is slow and we all complain about it together. It’s a tight-knit group here. We know the shopkeepers downstairs by name because we see them every morning. Working in Krishna Market gives the place a real local feel. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We are just a group of people working out of an office in Lajpat Nagar, trying to keep up with all the paperwork that comes our way. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy enough.
